Bio-Medicine

Bio-Medicine can be defined as the branch of science dealing with the study of environmental stresses that can be withstood by the human beings and other living organisms. It also deals with the treatment of various diseases through the process of medication and therapies. Bio-Medicine is mainly concerned with the theory involved in the medical sciences. In this field of science generally research work is carried out to find out different and less expensive ways for the treatment of various severe diseases like cancers.

Bio-Medicine is mainly inclined towards the research processes involved in the discovery of new drugs. It also involves processes that can render profound knowledge about the various mechanisms that are the basic causes of the various severe diseases and thereby suggesting the new methods for diagnosing and treating such serious diseases.

The students carrying out their careers in the field of Bio-Medicine and Cellular Biology are mainly made to focus on the exploration of the various past theories that led to the development of the many treatments available till now. Then as per the gathered knowledge and some new experiments, they are required to discover newer concepts regarding those old theories and experiments.

In Bio-Medicine, research work is carried out not only for the development of new drugs but also in various other fields related to medical sciences such as testing of samples of human plasma, experiments on different living beings like insects, mice etc for the discovery of new diseases and treatments , testing of human genes and stem cells to find out genetically inherited diseases etc.

Everyday thousands of new experiments are carried out in order to make advancements in the field of Medicines. In Bio-Medicine treatments are not actually provided to the patients as this field is mainly concerned with the theories of the medicines and not the practical application.

A recent research in the field of Bio-Medicine has lead to the development of a new method that can detect the presence of Bisoprolol in the samples of human plasma. Bisoprolol is an organic compound used in the manufacturing of various drugs. This newly discovered method for the analysis of this organic compound involves Liquid Chromatography coupled together with Mass Spectrometry i.e. LC/MS. The method earlier used for the purpose of Bisoprolol detection was HPLC. But the researchers believe that new LC/MS procedure has advantage of selectivity and integration of chromatography over the older HPLC procedure.

Likewise there are many other experiments being carried out on a day-to-day basis in order to discover newer and more effective procedures of treating various severe diseases which were once thought incurable.

Among the various research processes that have been carried out till now in this field, the best ones have lead to the development of the vaccines for the treatment of measles and polio, injections for the cure of diabetes, vaccines for curing maniacs (as per the degree of malady), different effective treatments for cancer, better treatments for the patients of AIDS. Even the Bio-Medicine has lead to the development of new technique of surgery termed as Microsurgery.
