Bio Medicine - Clinical Research
Clinical research is a branch of science; medical science is particular and deals with the research and analysis subject to the human life. It aims at increasing the knowledge base of the scientists to better evaluate the problems faced by the mankind and find an appropriate solution for them. The concept works on the lines of implementing the experiments which show potential including testing medicines or doing a surgery. The subjects who henceforth become a part of the program are then kept under surveillance to check for any inconsistencies which are then resolved before the discovery may be made available for the general public.
Success on this front is not enough. There is a lot of paperwork that needs to done before the actual implementation. Everyone ranging from the government to the NGOs, the medics to the believers of God have to be brought into complete confidence. There is a lot of paper work involved and proper documentation of all the steps taken have to be presented. Results should be supported by strong medical proofs which are understood by the experts before it is officially passed. Most of these clinical researches hence make use of a team of scientists working towards it and one man is generally not enough to accomplish any milestone.
You might have guessed by now why clinical research is so important. It allows the medical experts to find new inroads to the solutions for various diseases plaguing the planet. There are still many of them which are terminal with hardly any cure. If the cures cannot be found, at least the preventive measures can be put to place which may itself be able to solve a lot of deaths. The best example for this is vaccinations available for a number of diseases like polio, typhoid etc. Another aspect which comes under clinical research is diagnosis. Better screening technologies would mean better chances of finding the cause of a patient's illness. It also includes studying the different races and understanding their physical characteristics.

The process followed is pretty simple for a layman to understand, which is abnormal in medical research. Without going into the extreme details, it would be enough to state that before any experiment is done on the humans, the same is carried out on the animals predominantly on those who have the similar traits like the humans. Only if the results are positive on them do the scientists proceed forward with the humans. With humans, they require volunteers which are pretty hard to find given the circumstances of a risk to life. While some do it for the money, people who are suffering get it done with the hope of success.
Once the tests have been conducted on the humans, the researching team is again required to enlighten the medical fraternity with the results. It must contain the justification of the steps taken and the side effects if any that were caused in the process. This helps the fraternity in understanding the complete concept and deciding whether they can implement the same.
